Turned and finished with a bandsaw to make it look as though it was carved and then sanded and buffed with all 3 buffing wheels.

MEASURING DEVICE
PAINTING TECHNIQUE
1) Used hot glue to make a random pattern on a sheet of plastic.
2) After dried, peel it off and set it on a platter painted black.
3) Sprayed green Createx airbrush through the stencil and gold through a different stencil.

The bowl on left is one we bought ar a museum store in AK years ago. It is of birch and has laser-cut butterflies around the rim. I always liked the shape of it so I recently made a copy in white cedar. The one on right was given to my wife for our 51st anniversary earlier this month.
